Measuring End-to-End Delay in Low Energy SDN IoT Platform

In this paper, we developed a new customizable low energy Software Defined Networking (SDN) based Internet of Things (IoT) platform that can be reconfigured according to the requirements target IoT applications. Technically, consists set cost and efficient single-board computers, which are interconnected within network with software defined configuration. The proposed SDN switch is deployed on Raspberry Pi 3 board using Open vSwitch (OvS) software, while Floodlight controller Orange Prime board. We firstly presented implemented method for measuring delay introduced by each component infrastructure, ranging from sensor, core SDN, broker, an subscriber. Thus, approach estimating efficiency proportional traffic. experiments carried out real topology computers show our not only saves up 53.56% at traffic intensity, but also provides QoS guarantee
